Michael Wayne
Co-Founder & CEO
As co-founder and CEO of DECA, Michael Wayne is responsible for leading the premier lifestyle digital media company. Since 1997, Michael has focused his work on the converging media of television and the Internet. During this time, he has worked with major brand advertisers and online partners to establish new formats for online programming and new cross-media business models.
As Vice President, Strategic Alliances for Sony Pictures Digital and Sony Pictures Television, Michael was responsible for managing a team dedicated to developing new digital entertainment franchises in conjunction with strategic partners.
Prior to joining Sony in 2002, Michael served as Vice President, Business Development for Launch Media. He was part of the core team that grew the online music media company from start-up through IPO and ultimately to its acquisition by Yahoo! Prior to working for Launch Media, Michael was Manager, Marketing Development for the ABC Television Network.
Michael Wayne received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of the South, Sewanee, TN.
During his time at DECA, Michael has lectured at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University and the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, been featured in Business Week, Forbes and the New York Times, been elected the Chairman of the International Academy of Web Television, and has been on the Hollywood Reporter's Digital Power List for 2009 and 2010.
Beth Le Manach
VP, Programming
As VP, Programming at DECA, Beth is responsible for overseeing the video content across DECA’s women’s properties and managing talent relations.
Prior to joining DECA, Beth was the beauty and fashion producer for HoneyShed.com; an online video site specializing in e-commerce and funded by the Publicis Groupe. As HoneyShed’s beauty and fashion Producer, Beth was responsible for producing over 130 branded segments for popular brands such as Sephora, Revlon, Benefit, The North Face, Reebok and more.
Prior to joining HoneyShed, Beth served as the Development Executive and Supervising Producer for Homerun Entertainment where she developed and pitched show ideas to major cable network as well as managed several series in production. Le Manach was also responsible for producing Homerun’s branded entertainment projects for national advertisers.
Prior to joining Homerun, Beth spent seven years producing lifestyle content for the Scripps Networks (HGTV, Food Network, Fine Living and DIY) as an on-staff producer Beth produced a how-to and story driven content for the company’s four networks.
Jennifer McDonnell
VP, Operations
As VP, Operations, Jennifer McDonnell manages operations and partner relations for DECA's network.
Prior to joining DECA in 2008, Jennifer served as a Product Manager at Yahoo, managing development and operations in the Entertainment and Education categories. Jennifer was part of the team that developed Yahoo! Entertainment’s Brand Universe initiative, which successfully launched the World of Star Wars community fansite in partnership with LucasFilm.
Prior to Yahoo, Jennifer focused on media-based health education projects for the UCLA Health & Media Research Group and the Starlight/Starbright Foundation. She has also worked as Senior Instructional Designer for Quisic, developing online education and E-learning courseware for MBA programs at Dartmouth and Oxford.
Jennifer received her Master of Science in Educational Technology from USC and Bachelor of Arts in Communication from UCSB.
Karl House
VP, Sales
As VP, Sales, Karl House is primarily responsible for developing new business and managing sponsorship sales at DECA. His team integrates top-brand advertisers across DECA’s digital lifestyle properties.
Prior to joining DECA in 2008, Karl served as Group Advertising Director for Money Media, a Financial Times company, where his team generated revenue across a network of prominent financial websites. He developed and managed million-dollar relationships with clients such as Barclays, Fidelity and Charles Schwab. Before Money Media, Karl worked as National Sales Director at CampusLink, where he sold sponsorships to Fortune 500 companies targeting college students.
Karl House received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and now lives in Pacific Palisades.

Andreas Biebl
VP, Marketing
As VP, Marketing, Andreas Biebl is primarily responsible for growing the DECA owned and operated web sites as well as forging partnerships with leading media sites to syndicate DECA’s premium video content.
Prior to joining DECA in 2009, Andreas was Director of International Internet Marketing at eBay where he coordinated eBay’s global Marketing efforts and built a team from scratch to centralize international SEM & SEO Marketing programs. In 2003 Andreas opened eBay’s Vienna office and led it to become Austria’s leading auction site.
He also worked for eDreams.com in Barcelona, Spain, dove into strategy consulting in Munich, Germany, and started his career with Johnson & Johnson in Austria. Andreas holds an MBA from INSEAD in France, an MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University and a degree in International Business with highest distinction from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Having lived throughout Europe, he is fluent in five languages.
